Glad you took the time to write. Your dogs wont come to you?
Well, this is what I do on dogs that I have that are not coming to
me. I tie them out on a chain. When ever I feed them, I pet
them.
after a few days of this, I try calling them to me, if they come, I
pet them and feed them. If they dont, I put feed in the feed bowl
but pull it out of their reach and leave it that way for a bit. then
I come back out and try again. Usually a hungry mouth will overcome
their being stubborn.
On an older dog that I have been using for a while. If I'm
out
hunting and call them in or they come in and I call them and they
come towards me and just before they get to me, they go around or
wont let me catch them. I have had my best luck in stopping this with
my Tritronics shock collar using low power. It doesnt take but a
time or two and they will be GLAD to feel your gentle touch I assure
you....
Good luck with your hounds. I dont know anyone anyone who uses full
blood hounds on hogs, your the first.
