BAYDOG.COM - Classified Ads FAQ

About the Classifieds....

1. New ads are posted every Tuesday and Friday.
2. Ad deadline is 7:00 am (CST) for inclusion in that day's update.
3. Limit of 4 free ads per individual/household.
4. We do not include website links or photos in a free ad. If you'd like photos of your pups etc. or a link to your website please purchase a paid ad.
5. Free text ads are reserved for individual, private sales only. Commercial/business ventures (examples: quantity non-livestock merchandise sales, guided hunts, baying events, dog training,etc.) must utilize the paid photo ads submission form (ads are $9.95 per month). Exception: If your event is a benefit for FFA or 4-H it will be posted free of charge.
6. These ads are for hunting/working dogs only. Pet ads will not be posted.
7. We reserve the right to edit or refuse any advertising submitted for publication.

Please do not re-submit an ad that is currently running unless there is a significant change (such as price). It will not be posted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why isn't my ad posted?
A: The most likely reasons are (1) you already have the maximum of 4 free ads running (2) lack of contact info (3) your ad is considered a commercial/business venture which does not qualify for a free text ad.

Q: I've been receiving replies to my ad that don't seem legitimate, what's the deal?
A: Unfortunately, scammers run rampant all over the internet. It may be helpful to use only a phone # in your ad, as people have reported to us that alot of the scam attempts are via email. We can't "police" the ads, please use caution and common sense when entering any transaction.

Q. How long do the ads run?
A: Free text ads run for six weeks. Paid photo ads run for one month.

Q: Can you remove my ad before the 6 week expiration date?
A: Requests for ad removal will be handled as time permits. Please be sure to CLEARLY identify the ad(s) you would like removed when you email.
